Showcase cinema

This week Atlanta’s Krowe Records announced the lineup for its second Louisville Music Showcase. The hard rock overload begins at 8:30 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 30 at Phoenix Hill Tavern (644 Baxter Ave.; 589-4957). Cover is $10, and the first 100 paid receive a compilation CD of all the bands playing.

Jim Lauderdale @ Phoenix Hill

Americana music legend Jim Lauderdale, and local heroes, Johnny Berry and the Outliers, this Saturday, Nov. 8, at Phoenix Hill Tavern, 644 Baxter Ave., in Louisville. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of show.
