Workers, or The Band Formely Known as Your Black Star will release its first record under the new name with a show Feb. 6 at Skull Alley. Ultra Pulverize and Frontier(s) open. Workers’ album was engineered in Austin by Erik Wofford, who recorded The Black Angels’ breakthrough album, Passover.

Cabin’s recent MySpace post suggests they haven’t left the country. The foursome is working on the follow-up to their Machine Records EP, I Was Here. Drummer Dave Chale is finishing renovations on his new recording studio, Deadbird. No word yet on when the record will be finished.
