Correction on 32 Frames show

My apologies to Skull Alley, 32 Frames, Frontier(s), Brother Doubt and Sink ’Em Low for the misprint in this week’s LEO.
The 32 Frames reunion show/benefit for cancer research happens at Skull Alley Nov. 27, not at the Rudyard Kipling as we reported.

Benefit for Jim Dzurovcak

The former member of 32 Frames and Invictus is now fighting thyroid cancer. A benefit show at Skull Alley will be held Nov. 27.

Frontier(s) signs with Arena Rock, plans 7″ release in summer

Frontier(s), the post-punk act featuring former Elliott frontman/guitarist Chris Higdon, has signed with Arena Rock Recording Co. The label will release the band’s debut full-length this fall.
In the meantime, No Sleep will put out a 7-inch sometime this summer.

Workers announce record release show

Workers, or The Band Formely Known as Your Black Star will release its first record under the new name with a show Feb. 6 at Skull Alley. Ultra Pulverize and Frontier(s) open. Workers’ album was engineered in Austin by Erik Wofford, who recorded The Black Angels’ breakthrough album, Passover.

Frontier(s), the group fronted by former Elliott singer/guitarist Chris Higdon, has posted tracks from its recent recording session on its MySpace page. The tracks aren’t even finished yet, but IndieRockReviews couldn’t wait to tell you about it, having posted a review on its site. The band was also featured on Buzzgrinder. —MH
