Janek Schaefer, 38, was named Composer of the Year for Sonic Art on Dec. 2 for his installation, “Extended Play.” The piece, now showing in two rooms at the Huddersfield Art Gallery in England, features the use of Crosley Radio’s “collegiate” record-changer turntables. The company is based in Louisville. Schaefer found Crosley online.
