Big Boi, the currently more exciting half of trailblazing ATL hip hop duo OutKast, is among the headliners announced today for the annual “Halfway to Forecastle” mini-festival. RJD2, Pretty Lights, VHS or Beta and Boombox will also do their collective best to keep asses in motion.

An after party will be held at the nearby Ice Box complex, featuring MiMosa, Ana Sia and Gramatik.

The Wharf at Waterfront Park will host the July 15th concert. Tickets, which go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., will be available at ear X-tacy Records, at etix.com or by calling 919-653-0444.

The Forecastle Festival is now under the banner of AC Entertainment, the programmers behind the Bonnaroo, Big Ears and MoogFest festivals.
