Shellac, Shannon Wright play Jason Noble Benefit; 2nd scheduled for Glassworks Oct. 22

In September, Rodan and Shipping News co-founder Jason Noble was diagnosed with cancer and underwent massive surgery. The procedure removed most if the cancer, but Noble will still have to undergo treatment that could cost thousands. In an effort to help with Jason and his wife Kristin with medical costs, Shellac and Shannon Wright will play a benefit show Saturday, Nov. 21, at The 930 Listening Room. Tickets to the all ages show are $17 (adv.), $20 (door), and go on sale this Friday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. at ear X-tacy and at The 930. On Thursday, Oct. 22, Parlour, The Gold Jacket Club, a seven-piece experimental group that scored Noble’s film, “Matchbook of a Heart,” Minnow and Frontier(s) lend a hand at Glassworks (815 W. Market St.). The 21+ show starts at 7 p.m. and is $8. —MH
