The collective buzz among the animals at Bonnaroo this morning was for Animal Collective. By the time the set was over the buzz had turned burr. It doesn’t appear their spacy-metered songs in tranced-out renditions played to the sun-drenched crowd.

Talented band, sure. Many fans were shocked to see them have such an early set (mid-afternoon), but there was nothing indicitave that they should have played later.
