This past Wednesday, The Apples In Stereo‘s “Energy,” from their 2007 record New Magnetic Wonder, was idolfied on a strategically placed Ford commercial featuring the contestants. The embattled auto company’s woes might be the reason its looking to rebrand itself as in-the-know: the segments have featured Lykke Li and J. Geils.

The Apples greatest hits collection, “#1 Hits Explosion” is due out this year on Simian/Yep Roc/Elephant 6.
