This week Atlanta’s Krowe Records announced the lineup for its second Louisville Music Showcase. The hard rock overload begins at 8:30 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 30 at Phoenix Hill Tavern (644 Baxter Ave.; 589-4957). Cover is $10, and the first 100 paid receive a compilation CD of all the bands playing.

Evil Engine #9 (Unsigned). Recently advanced to the finals of the Motley Crue contest. The winner opens for them on a future tour.
