Coco Yam Band

There’s a touch of sarcasm to this Saturday’s “Welcome Back to the World” show at Vernon Club. “It’s a play on Obama’s inauguration,” says Gary Pahler, drummer for Coco Yam Band (formerly Ohun Afrobeat Band). Seeing as how Obama’s the most recognized world leader, for positive reasons, we get the point.
