While we wait with bated breath for a new album from Shipping News, the fearsome foursome took time out of its songwriting schedule to send along this MySpace missive:

“Hi,

We just wanted to say THANK YOU for all your support over the last year.

It really means the world to us.

For all the folks out there struggling to live a safe and sustainable life, we’re sending out our best thoughts.

We’ll be working together (in Chicago and Louisville) over the next several months on songwriting and getting ready to record a proper album … no dates are set but we’re hopeful.

As a way of returning the kind messages and music we’ve received we will post a new LIVE track on the first of every month on this site, and do our best to post more information here.
